The Polish-Ukrainian Border as a Place of Migratory Trajectories

Co-Production for Displaced Ukrainians

The presentation examines the organization and evolution of humanitarian infrastructure over the past years and its crucial role in shaping the migratory trajectories of displaced Ukrainians. Przemysl emerges as a site where migratory trajectories are co-produced, given that many arriving Ukrainians lacked a clear destination. The findings are based on a year-long fieldwork study in Przemysl amidst displaced Ukrainians, volunteers, and humanitarian workers.

Anastasiia Mykolenko, born in Ukraine, is a PhD candidate in Sociocultural Anthropology at the Université de Montréal (Canada).
