Catherine Wanner is a Professor of History, Anthropology, and Religious Studies at the Pennsylvania State University (Penn State, US). She has conducted ethnographic research in Ukraine for over 30 years. She is the author or editor of seven books,

including the edited volume, Dispossession: Migration and the Russo-Ukrainian War (forthcoming, Routledge). She is the convenor of the Working Group on Lived Religion in Eastern Europe and Eurasia.
