DANYLIW RESEARCH SEMINAR ON CONTEMPORARY UKRAINE

Daria Yakshina is a PhD student in Sociology at Karazin University in Kharkiv. Her

dissertation is on The Phenomenon of “Solo- Living” in (Post) Modernity. The 2022 Russian aggression interrupted her fieldwork, as her campus and neighbourhood were bombed. She was eventually displaced to the University of Valladodid in Spain, where her topic shifted to the situation of Ukrainian refugees living alone far away from home.
