The Return of Veterans ot Civilian Life:
The Role of the Police in Kharkiv

In wartime, there may be incidents during a veteran’s return to civilian life which require intervention. This paper will review the insights of a 2024 study on the interactions between veterans and the police in Ukraine, focusing on stereotypes, barriers to communications, the experiences of veterans, and ways to improve police responses.
