War as a Sonic Encounter: Ukrainian Knowledges and Creative Practices of Documentation

The tendency to think of Russian territorial expanse as a conquest of land does injustice to the sensorial knowledges of war which unfold in complex ways. This presentation seeks to rethink the Ukrainian experience of invasion in terms of the sounds of war. The Ukrainian project of witnessing extends beyond the act of documenting Russian war crimes for legal proceedings.
