Regional Patterns of War Damage in Ukraine:
Challenges to Reconstructing Society
Even amid the continuing military struggle Ukraine is embarked on an ambitious effort to restore and enhance its economic potential and social development. With a data set engaging several key human security variables at the rayon level, this paper assesses the extent to which war damage has affected Ukrainian society and the future spatial inequalities that may portend internal tensions and stress political stability.
