Ambicoloniality and War: The Ukrainian-Russian Case
The presentation is based on a book to be published by Palgrave Macmillan in early 2024, which offers a new theoretical proposal for the analysis of the active anti-colonial resistance of Ukraine. Ukraine has become a Russian territory of obsession, and Russia, in its desire to occupy Ukraine, has in effect subjected itself to Ukraine’s symbolic dominance.
Svitlana Biedarieva (PhD, U of London) is an art historian, artist, and curator.
